Supporting epilepsy research is a core part of the Epilepsy Foundation’s ongoing strategic plan, and key to realizing our mission to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. Due to the generosity of our donors and the strong growth of the organization as a whole, we’ve been able to increase our programming while also investing more in epilepsy research.
In 2018 we invested a total of $100,000 in two different epilepsy research projects, and leveraged an additional $50,000 through a matching grant. Close to home, we gave $50,000 to the HEP 2 Clinical Trial, which has two sites in Minnesota. Nationally, our $50,000 investment translated to $100,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation of America Shark Tank Competition. We plan to invest another $100,000 in 2019.
