Please join members of the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MNCCD) on April 28th for a virtual town hall forum about the impacts of COVID-19 on members of our disability community statewide.
The depth of this public health crisis greatly impacts individuals with disabilities, their family members, and support professionals - many of whom are at greater risk due to underlying health conditions, low income, and food/housing insecurity.
This also comes at a time when our current network of disability supports - especially Personal Care Assistance (PCA) - is at the brink of collapse due to the widespread workforce shortage.
That’s why - now more than ever - we need help from Congress to maintain stability and consistency in service provision, service navigation, and advocacy to help ensure that people with disabilities can stay healthy in their homes and communities.
During this town hall forum, we hope to highlight individuals’ stories to inform our members of Congress' work in developing COVID-19 emergency relief legislation that addresses the needs of people with disabilities.
