The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN) Board of Directors sets the strategic direction and provides overall governance for the organization. As a member of the board, you would be an organizational fiduciary who steers EFMN towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure EFMN is able to advance its mission.
As a board member, you would serve a 3-year term and attend quarterly in-person meetings and quarterly virtual committee meetings. In addition, all board members are expected to participate in philanthropic and other volunteer engagements to the best of their ability.
EFMN is committed to demonstrating diversity, equity and inclusion in our work. We strive to recruit and maintain a board of directors which represents a diverse range of perspectives, identities, professional backgrounds, and relationships to epilepsy.
Terms begin in January.
Volunteer opportunities range from one-time events to ongoing committee work. We also occasionally have opportunities to sponsor workgroups or clubs to complete volunteer projects.
